Alocasia Azlanii

Alocasia Azlanii is the dark horse of the alocasia world — deep, dramatic, near-black-purple foliage with an almost metallic sheen. It's moody, it's striking, and it looks incredible next to anything green. Named for a Malaysian plant enthusiast, it's one of the most distinctive alocasias in cultivation.

This is a collector plant that earns its reputation. The dark foliage holds its color well and the plant stays relatively compact. I've got this one for sale in a 2.5" nursery pot. Like most jewel alocasias it wants warmth and humidity, and in return it gives you some of the darkest leaves in the hobby.

Ships in its nursery pot, packed with care so it arrives looking like it just left the greenhouse. I ship nationwide from Winter Garden, Florida, and orders go out early in the week so your plant never sits in a box over the weekend.

Quick care:

• Light: Bright indirect light; too dim and growth stalls.
• Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
• Humidity: Loves humidity — 60%+ is ideal.
